Our Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability has been a priority for us from the start. That said, we are not yet where we want to be but here is what we are doing now to minimize our footprint:

Every joonbean is handmade with a small, family-run manufacturer in Portugal. To cut down on waste, each piece of fabric is hand-cut to use as much material as possible. That means every joonbean is a little different. Patterns do not always line up exactly, but nothing is wasted and every piece counts.

We fill joonbeans with high-quality beans that hold up over time. They break down less, so your joonbean lasts longer and creates less environmental impact.

Our towels are made from 100% recycled cotton yarn. They are soft, quick-dry, durable, and most importantly, made to last.



As joonbean grows, we will continue to find ways to be more sustainable. That includes exploring new materials, improving production processes, and making choices that reduce our impact wherever possible.
