Winter Weekends: Cozy Cabin & Ski Vibes We’re Dreaming About
This season, we’re leaning into cozy cabin energy meets ski-day daydreams, the kind of getaway that feels equal parts nostalgic and new. Think layers of knitwear, long walks in cold air, and evenings spent inside with friends, snacks, and way too many boardgames.
Here is our perfect day:
Morning: Snow, Coffee, and the smell of Bacon
The best winter mornings start slow.
Coffee brewing. Warm socks. A book you may or may not actually read. Maybe someone’s making pancakes. Maybe chatter about the ski day ahead and soft music in the background.
This is peak winter happiness. A layered throw, a favorite mug, and the comfiest pillow tucked behind your back (yes - our Joonbean pillow does make an appearance here). Not loud, not flashy…just quietly making everything feel softer and more relaxed.
Midday: Ski Runs, Hot Chocolate Breaks & Rosy Cheeks
Even if you don't actually ski, there’s a vibe to ski culture that we love:
-
long lift rides with great conversations
-
après-ski snacks that feel truly earned
-
rosy cheeks from the cold
-
collapsing inside afterward like you ran a marathon
A day on the mountain isn’t about perfection. It’s about trying, laughing, falling, and then dramatically declaring you deserve hot chocolate or a massive beer.
(And honestly — we support either decision)
Afternoon: Everyone Piles In
As the sun dips behind the mountains, the natural instinct is to gather.
Rummikub is out. A charcuterie board that disappears suspiciously fast. Someone sprawled on the floor airdropping all the photos of the day. Everyone wrapped in cozy blankets.
This is where the Joonbean pillow quietly shines. It drifts from couch to floor to reading nook, wherever people land. A soft landing, a cozy back support, a makeshift armrest. It’s one of those things you don’t realize makes everything better until it’s just… there.
Subtle. Simple. Comfort doing its job without trying too hard.
